Kevin Long

Kevin Bertram Long, 40, formerly of Fayetteville and currently residing in San Antonio, Texas, died Monday, February 4, 2013 as the result of a traffic accident.

Kevin was born April 14, 1972 in Fayetteville to William Carl and Vida Pippin Long.

Kevin was a 1990 graduate of Southview High School and a member of the Southview Tiger's marching band. Hobbies include fishing, any time, any weather, any place, listening to country music and eating.

Those left to mourn his passing include his parents William Carl and Vida Pippin Long of Fayetteville; siblings, Regina Ramage and husband Lyndon of Godwin, William Long Jr. and wife Faye of Fayetteville, Sonya Rodriguez and husband Manuel of Fayetteville, Teresa Long and husband Berry of Wilmington; fiancé Pattie McGuinness of San Antonio and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William James and Ella Mae Long and maternal grandparents, Lambert and Latsie Pippin.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, February 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints located at 5810 Rockfish Road in Hope Mills with interment in Cumberland Memorial Cemetery on Raeford Road.
