Lander Joyce "LJ" Williams, Jr., 59, of Parkton, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Carolina Rehab of Cumberland, with his family by his side.
LJ was born May 13, 1960 in Cumberland County, and was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Sweat; grandparents, Janie and Lacy Williams; and stepmother, Naomi Williams.
He is survived by his father, Lander Joyce Williams, Sr.; mother, Barbara Packer Royal; sisters, Sheila Beard and husband Freddie of Hope Mills, Carolyn Eckert and husband David of Fayetteville, Jacqueline Williams of Hope Mills, Dee Dee Williams and husband Brian of Rocky Mount, and Angie Carpenter of Rocky Mount; aunts, Kathryn Davis and Joyce Durden, both of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
LJ was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend who enjoyed NASCAR racing and rooting for Kyle Busch.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
