Lonnie was born May 12, 1931 in Kanwha County, West Verginia to Mike and Virginia Brown.
He died Monday, December 7, 2009 at his residence.
He retired as a lockmaster with the Army Corps of Engineers.
Lonnie is survived by two daughters, Nell Jackson of Hope Mills, Susan Brown of Florida; one son, Jerry Brown of Parkton; two sisters Nell Wheeler and Betty Landers both of West Virginia three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 7:00 pm at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services of Hope Mills.
