Lynn Gillmore, 63, of Eastover, went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday morning. Lynn fought a courageous battle with the neurodegenerative disease, Multiple System Atrophy.
Lynn didn't enter a room and not fill it with laughter within minutes. Every day was an adventure, either she was at the beach fishing, playing Bingo, or playing an online poker game. She played hard and loved hard. She was always quick with a sassy comeback and her sense of humor was contagious.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Randy. They spent 37 wonderful years together. Their relationship was a special kind of magic. They were not just husband and wife, they were best friends. Lynn always seemed to make Randy get a twinkle in his eye any time she looked his way.
Lynn was blessed with two children, Lisa Lloyd Williams and husband David, and Jerry Allen Lloyd and wife Lisa. Her children meant the world to her, and her kind heart and generous spirit were passed on to them both. She was the first person her children went to for advice and was always the strongest link in the family chain.
She is survived by her two sisters, Beverly Turlington Woods and Tami Turlington Clifton. Lynn was the oldest of the three girls and spent a lot of her life being a second mother to her younger sisters. She was always a pillar of strength to them in any situation.
She was Nana to four precious grandsons, Chase and Tripp Lloyd and Brock and Rylan Williams. Time stood still as each child entered this world and she loved them beyond anything that words would ever be able to express. Nana made sure her grand babies were covered in hugs and kisses any chance she got.
Before her grandsons arrived she was blessed with two nieces, Elizabeth Woods and Olivia Clifton. She loved them like they belonged to her and they developed a strong bond and relationship.
Lynn is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lela Cowart and mother Edith Turlington.
