Madeline Trogdon

Madeline Hampton Trogdon, 83, of Hope Mills, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, surrounded by family.

Born in War, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Nola King Hampton.

Along with her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her son, Donald Cary Trogdon; grandson, Gavin Clark Trogdon; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Trogdon; son Michael Darryl Trogdon and wife Johanna of Hope Mills; daughter, Robin Trogdon Watts and husband Chip of Hope Mills; brother, Raymond Hampton of Cambridge, England; and two grandchildren, Ryan Trogdon and Courtney Brannon.

Madeline retired from the Cumberland County Schools System as a Teacher's Assistant and was a member of First Baptist Church in Hope Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
