Margaret B. Singletary, 96, of Hope Mills, passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 1, 2020 with her family by her side.
Born May 18, 1924 in Hoke County, Margaret was the daughter of the late Pat and Fannie Blackwell. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Singletary and a sister, Shirley Bain.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Lenora Singletary; 5 sons, Roy Thomas Singletary, Don Singletary & wife Janet, Frank Singletary & wife Alice, Mark Singletary & wife Janet, and Brian Lee Singletary; 12 grandchildren, Wesley, Winde and Lee Matthews, Brandi and Michael Sullivan, Kayla and Allan Crawford, Marsanna and Tim Davis, Frank Patrick II and Crystal, Angela and Paul Peterson, Michelle, Jennifer Milburn, Mark II, Derrick and Amanda, and Brian; 21 great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebecca Matthews, Brianna, McKenzie, Samantha and Josephine Sullivan, Preston and Landon Crawford, Dakota, Preston and Alysa, Skylar and Frank Patrick III, Caden Rivenbark, Kyle, Alyssa, Ava, and Hazel, Levi, Nathan and Serenity; 3 great-great grandchildren, Mordekai, Easton and Taylor; honorary family members, Esther Milton, Evelyn and Charles Causby, Rev. Tim and Brenda Gore, Kathy and Bobby Jackson, Shyra Baxley, Tammy Singletary, Christina McCloy, Pam McCloy, Danny Matthews, Victoria Pulzone, and Ashley Kidd.
Margaret was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mama, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma, and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Liberty Hospice at 225 Fairway Drive #8, Fayetteville, NC 28305.
