Marianne Hudson

Mrs. Marianne Kuchler Hudson, 87, of Fayetteville, died Friday, July 11, 2014, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

Marianne was born July 28, 1926, in Mannheim, Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emmy Kuchler and her sister, Lottie Jahn.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marianne treasured her time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her warm embrace, beautiful blue eyes, and charming smile brightened the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Marianne will also be remembered as an exceptional cook with a passion for the culinary flare of her native Germany.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John N. Hudson, Sr., daughter Sybille H. Price and husband Bob of East Boothbay, Maine, son John N. Hudson, Jr. and wife Cathy, of Fayetteville, and daughter Peggy H. Peterson and husband Terry of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Karin Daigle and husband Richard of Princeton, Massachusetts, Barrett H. Wolf of Massachusetts, John N. Hudson, III and wife Rachel of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Michele Gervais and husband Travis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Viktoria P. Price and husband Brian of Durham, North Carolina, Courtney Orsbon and husband David of Chicago, Illinois, Katheryn Peterson of Charlotte, North Carolina and two great grand children, Emma Daigle of Princeton, Massachusetts and Sophie Hudson of Fayetteville. She will also be missed by an extended family of nieces and nephews.
