Martha Barnes

Ms. Martha Jackson Barnes, 59, of Hope Mills, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 after a long battle with Picks disease.

She was a loving mother, Nana and sister.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents A.E. and Dorothy Herndon Jackson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include two sons, Brack Barnes, who is on active duty with the USN, Rocky Barnes II and wife April and their two children, Gunner and Briar; a sister Janice Hall of Autryville, along with a host of family members and friends.

Visitation will take place Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 1:30 to 2:30 at Cape Fear Baptist Church on Butler Nursery Road in Fayetteville. A memorial service will take place immediately following visitation conducted by Rev. Michael Grossman, nephew of Martha.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Community Hospice at 5301 Morganton Road, Fayetteville, NC 28314.
