Mary Faircloth

After many-many years helping others at the Hope Mills Retirement Center, Mary Elizabeth Faircloth went to her reward on Thursday, July 8, 2010.

She was born on December 28, 1924 in Cicil County, Maryland to the late Harry Vernon and Mary Elizabeth Shade Waibel.

When asked one day, after she had worked well into retirement age, when she was going to retire, she quickly replied "why should I retire from doing something I love just to come back and volunteer". She was always available to dash over the retirement center at a moment's notice even when she was not scheduled to work if a patient needed her.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Faircloth Fisher a son David Fisher, Jr. five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of devoted friends and fellow employees.

A memorial service was held at the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2010 by Dr. Ronald Loftis.
