Mary Lou Jackson, 83, of Fayetteviile, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 in her home with family by her side.
Born April 24, 1937 in Fayetteville, Mary is the daughter of the late Haywood McIntyre, Sr. and Sarah Smith McIntyre. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Burchel “Butch” Jackson; son, Preston “Little Bit” Jackson; sisters, Elizabeth Boland, Doris Green, Jacqueline McIntyre, and Peggy Phipps; and brother, Haywood McIntyre, Jr.
Mary is survived by her son, Burchel “Bozie” Jackson; daughter, Rose Jackson McMillan and husband Brian; daughter, Ellie Newberger and husband Brian; grandchildren, Dorothy Thomas, Burnis “Little Man” Jackson, Tracy Lee, Linda Lee, Eleanor Wheeler, Rita Jean Jackson, Joey Robert Jackson, Danielle Johnson, Brandon McMillan, Jennifer Huckabee, Karen Newberger, and Hannah, Noah, and Mitchell; great grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Linda Jackson, Jada Thomas, Kaitlyn Thomas, Johnathan Wheeler, Tracey Wheeler, Layla Britt, Tyler Oakes, Trey Ammons, Terra Oakes, Gracie Jackson, Brooklyn Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Trent Jackson, Julie Jackson, Sky Ann Jackson, Skylar Johnson, Brandon “Ross” Johnson II, and Jayden Hyatt, sister, Judy Willard; brother, Franklin McIntyre; best friend, Maudie McLamb; and a host of other family and friends.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
