Mavis Cathern Hall

Mavis Cathern Hall, 90 of Hope Mills, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 6, 2023, at her residence surrounded by family.

Mavis was born on January 28, 1933 in Fayetteville, NC to the late AP and Nellie Cheshire.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rev. Conrad Hall.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rena Nobles; her brothers, Wilbur and Ernest Cheshire; step-brother, Grant Davis; and two infant sisters, Carolyn and Ruby Cheshire.

She is survived by her daughters, Faith H. Crowder & husband Bill of Cary, and Karen H. Boswell & husband Bob of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren, Keith Crowder & wife Joanna of Apex, Josh Boswell & wife Sara of Blue Springs, MO, Jason Boswell of Chicago, IL; great grandchildren, Isaac Keith Crowder, Isabella Rose Crowder, Isabella Grace Boswell and Parker Ray Boswell.

Mavis loved her Lord and Savior.  She dedicated her life to serving the kingdom of God.  She was a crucial part of the “We Care Ministry”. Mavis also served as a Sunday School teacher and loved to sing in the choir.

Mavis loved her family.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was precious to all of us and her legacy will live on.
