Maxie Tolar

Sgt. 1st Class Maxie Gray Tolar, Jr., 55, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012.



Mac Jr. "Toby" "Bubba" was born in Hope Mills General Hospital to the late Maxie Sr. and Shirley Register Tolar of Fayetteville. He was the grandson of the late Gladys Tolar whom he loved dearly.



He served in the NC National Guard for thirty-six years. He worked at MATES in Fort Bragg.



Mac was a loving and devoted husband, father,  grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.



He loved Carolina basketball, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.



He is survived by his wife, Debbie Tolar of the home; a daughter, Christy Tolar; son, Gray Tolar and stepson, Mark Prince all of Fayetteville, three granddaughters, Maddie Prince, MorganPrince and Zoe Gillispie; a grandson Kameron Gray Tolar; three sisters, Cindy Jacobs and husband Haywood of Hope Mills, Tracy Bowen and husband Doug and Amy Jackson all of Fayetteville; a brother, Bennett Tolar of Fayetteville and stepfather Allie Register of Hope Mills.



Visitation will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 from 6 to 7 PM with memorial services to follow at 7 PM at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel of Hope Mills.
