Melba Willis

Melba Smith Willis, 86 of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on May 3, 2022.

Born on June 9, 1935, in Robeson County, NC, Melba is the daughter of the late Duncan Francis and Edna Brigman McRainey. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Franklin Smith; her husband, John Leslie Willis, Jr; and her son, Michael F. Smith.

Melba is survived by her son, Duncan Franklin Smith & partner David Loven; daughter-in-law, Ann Smith; grandchildren, Michele Heath & husband David, Michael J. Smith & wife Katie; great-grandson, Jackson Heath; sister, Frances Martin; and nephew, Jeffrey Martin.

Melba worked several years and retired from the St. Pauls Branch of United Carolina Bank, now Truist Bank. She was known by many, loved by all and will be greatly missed.
