Melinda Bennett

Melinda Goins Bennett, 40, of Fort Mill, SC, died Sunday, April 17, 2016.

Born April 1, 1976 in Cumberland County, Melinda is the daughter of Ernest Eugene and Vonda Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Vonda Floyd; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Melinda graduated from Southview High School in 1994 and attended Pembroke University and received her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature in 1998. She went on to teach in Robeson County and Mecklenburg County School Systems.

She loved being outdoors, enjoying kayaking, boating, and playing golf, as well as enjoyed reading in her free time. Melinda was a people person and never met a stranger. She loved life, the church, and her family.

Melinda will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
