Melvaline Smith

Melvaline Faircloth Smith, 83, of Hope Mills, NC, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley  Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Born August 5, 1936 in Robeson County, NC, Melvaline and her late husband, Horace Smith would eventually make their home in Hope Mills. She was employed as a cafeteria worker with Cumberland County School System for several years before retiring,

Along with her husband, Melvaline was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Gail Groves and son, Mark Anthony Smith.

She is survived by her son, Leon Smith, seven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Melvaline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
