Michael Eugene Wagner

Michael Eugene Wagner, 80, of Summerfield passed away December 15, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

Born in Kingsport, TN, he is the son of the late Jack Eugene and Mildred Martin Wagner.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lambert Wagner and a granddaughter, Candace Mounce.

He is survived by daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Hancock of Trinity, NC and Heather Denise Adams (Travis) of Highland, UT; son, John Allen Robertson, Jr. of Piney Flats, TN; special daughter, Lillian Sheppard (Mitch) of Summerfield, NC; sisters, Brenda (Ronald) Murray of Winston Salem, NC and Thelma (Terry) Walker of North Wilkesboro, NC; special sister in law Freda Hoback (Junior) of Dublin, VA; Cynthia Hassen (significant other) also known as Baby Doll of Archdale, NC; special nieces, Sherry Sciminese (Chris Mounce) of Swansboro, NC, Cheryl Mat of Pleasant Garden, NC and Melissa Barker of Winston Salem, NC; special nephews, Louis Mat of Greensboro, NC, Kevin Lambert of Dublin, LA and David Walker of Shelby, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Mounce (Tara), Chandler Mitchell, Grace Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell and Christopher Sheppard; great granddaughter, Carly Mounce.

Michael was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.  His grandchildren meant the world to him, from fishing, to doing crafts and machine work, to drinking coffee and Dr. Pepper, hanging out with the kiddos at the garage, playing Santa Claus at Christmas and giving out toys to children.  There is nothing Michael couldn’t do.  He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm Wednesday December 20, 2023 at Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel 3600 North O' Henry Blvd. Greensboro, NC followed by a celebration of life service.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
