Nathan James Young

Our precious son Nathan James Young, 18, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was surrounded by his family in prayer and worship at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 5:30pm-7:00pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Rivers of Living Water Church of God. Nathan’s Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00pm with Bishop Aaron Wilson officiating. 

Nathan was born on July 23, 2006, in Raleigh, North Carolina at Wake Medical Center. He is survived by his parents Brian & Jill Young of Fayetteville, NC and his four siblings: Shane, Daniel, Lily & Bethany Young. Nathan also leaves behind his grandparents, Bobby & Kathryn Wilson of Parkton, NC, Larry & Sharon Washburn of Jenks, Oklahoma, Mike & Susan Young of Sanford, NC, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nathan is a graduate of Cumberland Virtual Academy and was studying Information Technology at Fayetteville Technical Community College. He took pride in his hard work at McDonalds and Taco Bell. Nathan was training to be a shift supervisor and was excited about this new opportunity. He was a member of Sapona Road Church and was a vital part of the media ministry. Nathan is a loving son, wonderful brother, and a loyal friend. Nathan’s family and friends will always remember the way he loved, his beautiful smile, and his humor that lit up the room. Even through sickness, Nathan was an overcomer and always lived in victory. He is adored and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
