Nelie Mae Sessoms Ringled

   Nelie Mae Sessoms Ringled, 90, of Hope Mills, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in her residence with loved ones by her side. 

   Born November 3, 1933 in Fayetteville, Nelie was one of nine children of the late Joseph Grady Sessoms and Lessie Mae Britt Sessoms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ringled, and all of her siblings.

   She is survived by her children, Richard Ringled, Jr. (Donna), Linda Diane Ringled, Kerry Ringled (Susan), as well as her beloved dog, Duke. She also leaves six grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

   Nelie was a founding member of Cumberland Baptist Church. She recently became a member of Hillside Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship with her church family at worship services and Tuesday morning Bible study. She enjoyed reading her Bible, devotional books, and magazines such as Guideposts. She also loved to crochet and made blankets for multiple newborn babies.

   Nelie, also known as “MeMe”, will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, neighbors, and friends.

   In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions in honor of Nelie be made to Hillside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 340, Hope Mills, NC 28348.
