Phillip Blackmon

Phillip Edward "Toolman" Blackmon, 60, of Hope Mills, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.

Born in Lumberton, NC, he is the son of Johnnie and Vivian Blackmon. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Johnnie "Mickey" Blackmon and wife Evelyn of Charleston, SC, Debbie McFayden and husband Fred of Fayetteville, and Rebecca Morgan and husband Michael of Fayetteville; a nephew, Michael Blackmon of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Michelle Robbins and Melissa Baltazar, both of Las Vegas, NV, and Casey Luladakis of Fayetteville.

Our beloved brother went to his eternal home on Friday, January 9, 2015. He was a kind, generous, funny and tenderhearted man. Many people in the Hope Mills community referred to him as "The Tool Man" and would often stop to chat and joke with him by his roadside tent. He touched everyone that met him and he will truly be missed.
