Phillip Johnson

Phillip Wayne Johnson, 69, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, April 13, 2019.

Born February 3, 1950 in Cumberland County, Phillip was the son of the late David Preston Johnson, Sr. and Beulah Strickland Johnson. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Lee Jacobson.

Phillip is survived by his brother, David Preston Johnson, Jr. of Fayetteville; sister, Linda Faye Pittman of Parkton; sister, Margaret Stephens and husband Doug of Fayetteville; sister, Lois Britt and husband Jim of St. Pauls; brother, Donald C. Johnson and wife Diane of Gray's Creek; brother, Terry Ray Johnson of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services of Hope Mills, followed by a celebration of life officiated by Rev. Frank Dublin at 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Phillip was a loving brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
