On February 4, 2022, God was faithful to Randy Glen McDonald by graduating him to heaven for his eternal reward as his work here on earth was finished.
Randy was born on September 7, 1957, in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Mary McDonald. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and held a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Christian Life School of Theology. As a passionate minister of the Gospel and an invested businessman with over 40 years of experience in both, Randy enjoyed the brilliant and rewarding balance of ministry and business. Throughout his very full life, he served in roles including Senior Pastor, Minister of Music, Business Administrator, CFO, School Principal, Director of Food Services and Director of International Students. Randy was known for his wealth of knowledge. He knew something about everything! From computer programs to insurance, real estate, bank and loan ventures, building and construction, land development, staff development, entrepreneurship and nearly every pastoral role in the Church.
His unrelenting devotion to excellence and broad range of experience and interests provided him with a wealth of friendships and opportunities to minister for the Kingdom. In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and ATV trail riding.
More than anything, he deeply loved and treasured his beautiful wife of 44 years, Donna. The life they built together with their daughter, Kristin and son, Joshua, is filled with memories intentionally made no matter what season they were in. Kristin is married to Christopher Brice with 4 children: Liliana (12), Isabella (7), Zoe (6) and Emma (4). Joshua is married to Jessica (Ferrell) with 2 children: Grace (9) and Lucas (4). He is survived by his in-laws, Thomas and Betty Davis; brother, Ronnie (Beverly) McDonald; brother, Robert (Daphne) McDonald; sister-in-law, Sonya (Tim) Teasley; brother-in-law, Tom (Regina) Davis and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Randy McDonald Memorial Fund at the link below to assist Donna with medical and funeral expenses. You may click on link below under Donations to make a contribution.
