Ray Wood

Ray Wood, 77, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Fayetteville.
Born April 15, 1936, Ray worked for several years at DuPont before retiring in 1995.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills, NC.
Funeral services will follow promptly at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Ray leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Wood; sons, Donald Wood and Gerald Wood and his wife Joni, both of Fayetteville; daughter, Teresa Jackson and her husband Randy of Eastover, NC; stepsons, Dickie Hobbs, Edward Jackson, and Tommy Jackson, all of Fayetteville; stepdaughters, Judy Jackson, Donna Huskey, and Teresa Trumble, all of Fayetteville; brother, Albert Wood of Chersaw, SC; sister, Jeanette Byrum and her husband Bob of Fayetteviile; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Timberlake Church of God, 3515 Sturbridge Drive, Hope Mills, NC 28348.
Ray was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
