Robert Carver

Robert Carver, 83, of Dunn, died November 20, 2015 at Senior Citizens Village, where he has been a resident for 12 years. He was born February 7, 1932 in Cumberland County, to Geneva Patterson Carver and Herbert Carver.

He worked for many years with his brother Alvis and nephew Steve at Carver Equipment Company in Dunn as a service technician on farm equipment. Then in retirement, he enjoyed several years driving truck-tractors over the country for Peterbuilt Corp. Robert was an avid Nascar racing fan and enjoyed fishing. As an Army veteran, he was active in American Legion activities for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Alvis and Leonard, and sisters, Margaret, Lois and Ruby. He is survived by brother Warren of Tucson, AZ, and sisters Lillian Thaggard of Fayetteville, and Rachel Williams of Lancaster, PA, and several very special nieces and nephews.
