Rosaria Vasta

Rosaria Vasta passed away October 21, 2017 at her daughter's home in Hope Mills, NC surrounded by her family.

Rosaria came to the United States in 1950 making this her home. Rosaria was a wonderful mother, wife, sibling and friend. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and watching her soap operas. Her favorite thing to do was spend time around the kitchen table with her family and friends.

Rosaria was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Rosario Vasta.

She is survived by her son, Lucio Vasta; daughter, Anna Dina and son-in-law, Paul Simcox (North Carolina), granddaughters, Tiffany Lynn Vasta (Florida) and Sara Christine Simcox (North Carolina) and grandsons, Brian Simcox (Colorado) and Sean Simcox(New York); a great- granddaughter, Adalae Anita Simcox (New York); her brother, Biagio Larocca (California) and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be held at 5:30 pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5050 Oak St, Hope Mills, NC with brief visitation prior to mass at 5:00pm in celebration of Rosaria's life.

Entombment was held at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in Syracuse, NY last week.
