Roy Junior Newton, 69, of Hope Mills, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at home.
Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Roy Jasper Newton and Wilma Mae Willis Newton. Along with his parents he also is preceded in death by his wife, Dot Newton; son James Junior Newton; sisters, Ailene Musselwhite, Evelyn Owens, and Dorothy Newton, and brother, Herman McDonald.
Roy is survived by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Fortune, of Louisville, KY; and his sister-in-law, Shirley Seals of Hope Mills.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
