Ruby Wagner

Ruby Lambert Wagner, 61 of Summerfield, NC  passed from this life after a long battle with cancer and went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 21, 2021.

Ruby was born March 5, 1959 in Tazewell County Virginia to the late Walter and Delphine Lambert. She was preceded in death by her brothers,  Bob Lambert, Richard Lambert, Don lambert and Ed Lambert.

Ruby is survived by her husband Michael Wagner 30 years, of the home;  one son,  John Robertson Jr. of Raleigh NC, and one daughter,  Heather Adams (Travis) of Summerfield NC. She is also survived by her three wonderful grandchildren,  Chandler Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell, and Grace Mitchell who was  the center of her world. Ruby was the youngest of 12 and out of the 12 surviving are sisters,  Nancy Bray, Tresia Smith (Thurman), Patricia “Tish” Kinder (Paul), Elizabeth “Edith” Roush (Richard).  Brothers include Renford “Jess” Lambert (Donna),  Carl “CD” Lambert, Dan Lambert (Dianne). She has 21 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews. She has a special dog “Pixie” whom never left her side. Two fur grand babies “Hudson” and “Ellie”. Special friends, Freda Lambert Hoback (sister-in-law) Lillian Sheppard (Mitch) and their son Christopher.

Ruby was a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.. Ruby was always willing to help  anyone  in need and made sure she would give you her last dollar if she knew you needed it. She loved going fishing and to yard sales with her sisters. One of her favorite things was playing cards and late-night breakfasts. Her family meant the world to her. We’d  like to thank  Hospice of Rockingham county for their services. Ruby’s hospice nurse Amanda who gave her exceptional care.

Services will be provided by Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services of Hope Mills NC.   A memorial service to celebrate her life will be at Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel being officiated by Pastor Dean Smith on Friday 2/26/2021 at 1:00 P.M.
