Rufus Peters

Rufus Wayne Peters, 72, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in his home.

Born December 13, 1943 in White Oak, he was the son of the late Gibson and Saraetta Peters.

He served in the U.S. Army before pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

Mr. Peters was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristina Peters and brother, Roland Peters.

He is survived by his wife, Judie Peters; sons, Mark Anthony Peters and wife Lisa of Hope Mills, Kurtis Lynn Peters of Fayetteville, and Kenneth Wayne Peters and wife Angela of Fayetteville; brothers, Joe Peters and wife Helen of Wilmington, Maylan Peters and wife Barbara of Fayetteville, Delma Peters and wife Lib of High Point, and Claude Peters and wife Ruth Ann of High Point; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
