Ruth Floyd

Ruth Lane Regan Varnes Floyd, 81, of Hope Mills, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, June 5, 2015.

She was born November 27, 1933 in Cerro Gordo, NC to the late Ed and Lila Regan, and the late Mary Regan.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Logan Varnes; her husband of 42 years, Earl Clinton Floyd; brother, Jean Edward Regan; and sister, Nina Kathryn Regan.

She is survived by her sister, Amanda Regan Worley of Lake Waccamaw; her children, Alan Varnes and wife Linda of Hamlet, Stevie Varnes and wife Candy of Lillington, Richard Floyd and wife Kathy of Parkton; Susan Floyd Hales of Hope Mills, Monty Floyd and wife Wanda of Mt. Croghan, SC, Jean Floyd and life partner Angel Platt of Fayetteville, Jeff Floyd and wife Penny of Hope Mills, Judith Floyd Miller and husband Phil of Elizabethtown, and Lila Floyd Wilkes and husband Ralph of Hope Mills; 22 grandchildren, Kevin Taylor, Amanda Varnes Bertsch, Ashley Varnes Tyler, Carlton Varnes, Steven Floyd, Crystal Floyd Yonge, Jason Floyd, Tara Hales Lynch, Sandi Hales Jackson, Cynthia Floyd McCoy, Wendy Floyd, Andy Smith, J.R. Floyd, Brandie Platt Munn, Ruby Floyd, Tracy Floyd, Dalton Floyd, Eric Floyd, Colby Burke, Olivia Miller, Tiffany Wilkes, and Shelby Wilkes Monigold; and 21 great grandchildren, Alex Taylor, Austin Bertsch, Knox Bertsch, Dakota Tyler, Blake Tyler, Brianna Yonge, Christian Yonge, Kimberly Yonge, Caitlyn Yonge, Jessica Safrit, Michele Yonge, Serenity Yonge, Carson Floyd, Addison Floyd, Vanessa Lynch, Chloe Lynch, Caleb Jackson, Marquis Carter, J.R.
