Samuel "Sammy" Franklin Godbold, Jr., 71, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, January 17, 2015, with his family by his side.
He was born October 11, 1943 in Dillon County, SC to the late Samuel Franklin Godbold, Sr. and Sallie Telatha Perritt Godbold.
Sammy was employed for many years as a furniture salesman, and was a loyal member of both the Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Kenneth Lynn Hall of Spring Lake; daughter, Kimberly Godbold Wilson of Hope Mills; son, Samuel Scott Godbold and his wife Marcie of Boiling Springs; daughter, Tabitha Annette Sportsman and her husband David of Hope Mills; sister, Julia Godbold Faircloth of Hope Mills; sister, Nell Godbold Canady of Vander; sister, Ginger Godbold Smith of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Hall, Jessica Logan Godbold, Colton Cade Wilson, Claudia Nichole Schultz, Keely Shae Schultz, and Kaylin McKenzie Godbold; three great grandchildren, Bradon Lynn Hall, Zoe Marie Ortiz, and Kyler Chase Ortiz; and his loyal feline companion, Patches.
