Sarah Phifer

Sarah M Phifer, 91, of Hope Mills, formerly of Fortville, IN passed away on February, 7, 2010 in Fayetteville, NC. Sarah was born in Whitfield County Georgia on February 2, 1919. She worked for General Electric for many years in Charlotte, NC and later worked for Wells Florist & Gifts in Indianapolis until age 83. She loved to travel and visit family and friends. Sarah was an avid reader and gardner.

Sarah was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Oden.

Sarah is survived by a daughter, Patricia Timberlake, Hope Mills, NC; a step-daughter, Gail Phifer Zoeller & husband John, Virginia Beach, VA; and grandchildren, Lee Vriesman & husband Tom, Indianapolis, IN; Lt. Col. David Oden & wife Rachel, Coronado, CA; Brian Timberlake & wife Camille, Matthews, NC; Jayson Timberlake & wife Shannon, Steadman, NC; and 8 great grandchildren.

The service will be held in the chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 5400 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC at 12 Noon, Friday, February 12th. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fortville United Methodist Church, PO Box 116, Fortville, IN 46040.
