Shannon Gibson

Shannon Lynn Gibson, 48, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Columbus, Georgia, she is the daughter of Jennifer Hasty Blackwell the late Charles Michael Merritt. She worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in Lumberton and Parkton. She loved crafts, sending cards and writing letters.

She is survived by her husband David Gibson; daughters, Tiffany Moreno and Elizabeth Gibson both of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Damien Martinez, Gracie Douglas and Oliver Moreno; mother, Jennifer Blackwell; sisters, Ginger Gay of Versailles, KY and Courtney Bradley of SC; brothers, Max Merritt of SC, Jacob Merritt of Atlanta, GA and Scott Blackwell of Rock Hill, SC.

The family appreciates your thought and prayers during this time. If you choose to honor her memory by sending flowers, the family has requested house plants or fresh cut arrangements. Shannon will be missed by all who loved knew her.
