Shirley Saling

Shirley Ann Saling, 80, of Hope Mills, NC, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home with family by her side.

Born April 26, 1939 in East Liverpool, OH, Shirley was the daughter of the late Harry and Verna Monroe. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Saling and three sisters, Evelyn Channels, Gloria Monroe, and Harriet Elizabeth Monroe.

Shirley is survived by her son, Wayne Saling and wife Dorothy of East Liverpool, OH; daughter, Terry Rose and husband Scott of Columbiana, OH; son, Larry Saling and wife Donna of East Liverpool, OH; daughter, Cynthia Hensley and husband Ronald of Hope Mills, NC; son, Matthew Saling and partner Ruby of Hope Mills, NC; sister, Betty Hemsley of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; sister, Verna Hain and husband Gary of Henderson, TN; sister-in-law, Janet Sue McKee of Lake Eris, PA; 12 grandchildren, Jack Wayne Saling III, Crystal Wright, Lance Saling, Amanda Amato, Samantha Zaplata, Sarah Saling, Jerilee Saling, Gage Saling, Bob Ensinger, Stephanie Faircloth, Kristine McClure, Kayley Brandle, Corey Brandle, and Andrew Brandle; 14 great grandchildren; a host of other family members and friends; and her beloved cat, Buffy.

Shirley was a devoted member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she deeply loved singing with the choir. Shirley was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who was known for her heartwarming smile and lively personality. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
