Steve Carter

Stephen Wayne Carter, 69, of Hope Mills, passed away early morning of November 17, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on October 3, 1955, he is the son of the late Henry “Red” Carter and Doris Holmes. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Mark and Brent.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Belinda; his son, Wayne & wife, Chris; his daughter, Melissa & husband, Lacy; and his daughter, Sarah & husband, Billy; as well as his sister, Terri. He leaves behind his 4 grandchildren: Stephen, Morgan, Maya, and Cadence.

Steve spent 42 years at the Goodyear Tire Co. before retiring in 2015. His life was always dedicated to his family, to whom he gave his everything. He loved nothing more than the time he got to spend with them, no matter the occasion. He will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
