Stephen Anthony Collier, 68 of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Born September 28, 1956, in Harnett County, Stephen was the son of the late Chalmers Kent Collier, Jr. and Margaret Rose O'Briant Collier. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving companion, Rhonda Duffer.
Stephen is survived by his son, Cameron Duffer and wife Rebecca; son, Matthew Duffer; grandson, Elijah Duffer; granddaughter, Ellison Duffer; brother, David Collier and wife Ann Marie, along with his daughter, Catherine Garrett and granddaughter, Chloe Jordan; sister, Kay Collier Ross, along with her daughter, Melanie Ross Lovin and granddaughter, Victoria Ross-Mata and her son, Neill McKay Ross III and granddaughter, Farrah J. Ross; his baby sister, Dianne Collier-Kersey, with whom he shared a birthday; and a host of other extended family and friends.
Though born in Harnett County, Stephen lived his entire life in Fayetteville, where he graduated from Pine Forest High School. After graduating, he would later work in construction becoming a skilled carpenter over the years. He also had a knack for gardening and could easily grow anything with his expert green thumbs. It could be said that he was artistic like his mother and handy like his father. In his spare time, Stephen enjoyed going to the beach, listening to classic rock and Motown music, and watching old movies on TCM.
Stephen was a dedicated to family and fiercely loved all of his children, grandchildren, and siblings. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved him.
