Stephen Walter

Stephen Douglas Walter, 51, of Hope Mills, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 25, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 4, 1962 in Jacksonville, Florida and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Stephen was a faithful member of Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville, where he served as a teacher for the children's ministry. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, and was loved by everyone.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills.

Funeral services, with Pastors John Adderley, David Pearce, and Eddie Williams officiating, will be held at 1:00pm Monday, February 3, 2014 at Covenant Love Church in Fayetteville.

Stephen leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Juanita Walter; sons, Clayton Walter and Brandon Teague; brother. Michael Boyd; sisters, Laura Walter and Courtney Harrison; mother, Barbara Boyd; father, Coy Walter; and mother and father-in-law, Sharie and Rick Houchen.

In lieu of lowers, memorials may be made to the Covenant Love Church Children's Ministries, 420 Dunn Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312.

Stephen will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
