Steve Orr

Steve Martin Orr a.k.a "Pops / Steveo" passed peacefully Wednesday, March 31,2021 surrounded by family in Hope Mills, North Carolina at the age of 65.

Steve is survived by his wife, Beth Orr; his children, Tricia Orr, Michele Schwarz, Christopher Orr, Bradley Orr, and Brandon Orr; two step-children, John Rodriguez and Gina McCartney; two brothers, Bruce and Craig Orr. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Steve was born on June 26,1955 in Asheville, North Carolina to Carolyn Orr and Earl Orr. He was a dedicated Fleet Manager for last 40 years in Virginia Beach, Virginia and most recently in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina at Mountaire Farms since 2013. On June 29, 2013, he married Beth, who has been by his side for the last 22 years. Keeping him busy were his 11 grandkids and 1 great granddaughter Tinsley Grace, due on May 7, 2021.

Steve was happiest with family on the beach and was an avid surf fisherman. He knew his way around a garage, taking care of his black GMC Sierra, and keeping the greenest yard on the block. He loved to facetime his grandkids. He loved to hang out with his partner in crime, his dog Buddy. He was a spiritual man and member of Southview Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by his Family, Friends, and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 1, 2021 at Southview Baptist Church in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am and the Celebration of Life will begin at 11 am. A reception will follow the service at Southview Baptist Church.
