SFC Stuart Hite, US Army retired died Thursday, November 08, 2018 at home.
Born in Augusta County, VA, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Virginia Ottie Fitzgerald Hite. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Hansford Hite; and sister, Betty Cook.
Stuart is survived by his wife, Janice Hite of Fayetteville; daughters, Tammy Hite of Fayetteville, and Toni Stewart of Fayetteville; a son Timothy Hite and wife Teresa of Havelock; grandchildren, Bailey Fisher of Fayetteville, and Chelsey Colón and husband Omar of Raleigh; brothers, Richard Hite and wife Amy of Waynesboro, VA, and Harvey Hite and wife Sarah Lou of Kansas City, KS.
After retiring from the military, he had his own business, Hite's Portable Welding. He liked country music, playing the guitar, the steel guitar, and the banjo. He also liked building race cars.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
