Susan Hales

Susan Byrd Hales, 67, passed away Oct 7, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital surrounded by her family.

Susan was born on September 20, 1956, in Fayetteville, NC.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Christalee Hales and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Anthony “Tony” Campiti; parents, Theron and Evelyn Byrd; sisters, Carolyn Rogers, Delores White, and Marilyn Byrd Musgrave; brothers, Leonard Byrd and Marion Byrd.

Susie loved her children Tony and Christalee with all her heart, they were the pride of her life. She retired from Walmart in 2012 where she worked as a cashier and loved helping people. She also loved the wrestler and actor “The Rock” and thought he was the best-looking man alive.
