Teresa Nelms

Teresa "Terri" Taylor Nelms, 30, Fayetteville, passed away Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2010.

She was born February 1, 1980 to Gary and Jean Taylor of Wade. She was a graduate of the 1998 class of Cape Fear High School and worked most of her career as a waitress, currently at Haymont Grill and Steak House in Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by her father Gary Lewis Taylor; grandparents, Charlie and Maggie Taylor of Wade and grandfather Edwin O. Brown of Fayetteville.

She is survived by three sons, James Christopher Brown, Tyler Ray Nelms, Chase Alexander Nelms; mother and stepfather, Jean Brown and Brant Jackson of Hope Mills; stepmother Kim Blanton Taylor of Wade; two sisters Amber Jackson Russ of Stedman, Allison Cristine Taylor of Wade; two brothers, Gary Lewis Taylor Jr. of Wade, Grant Lee Jackson of Hope Mills; step sister Kelly Moore McPhaul of Fayetteville; grandmother, Sarah Margaret Beasley of Fayetteville and fiance Peter Rye of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills. Funeral services will be Friday at 4 PM at Eastside Church of God 2217 Clinton Road, Fayetteville with Rev. Leon Young officiating. She will be laid to rest in Ole Bluff cemetery in Northern Cumberland County.
