Thelma Black

Thelma Hales Black 89, of Hope Mills died December 7, 2012 at Ocean Isle Beach, NC.



Born in Cumberland County July 26, 1923, she is the daughter of the late Troy Mack and Lula Craven Hales.



She is survived by two sons, Tommy Black and wife Christina of North Myrtle Beach and Terry Black of Roxboro; one daughter,  Faith Ramos and husband Michael of Ocean Isle; four  grandchildren, Shawn Black of Leland, Jonathan Ramos of Oahu, Hawaii, Tammy Black of Raleigh,  T. J. Black of Roxboro, and seven  great grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Black of 56 years and her parents.



A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, December 10, 2012 at Hope Mills Pentecostal Church conducted by Pastor Bryan.   Burial to follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.   The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills.



Mrs. Black enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading her Bible and spending time in prayer.  She was a joy to her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
