Thomas Gilmore

Thomas “Tommy” Ryan Gilmore, 71 of Hope Mills, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Born February 13, 1951, in Cumberland County, NC, Tommy is the son of the late Earl and Louise Gilmore. He is also preceded in death by his brother, James Earl Gilmore and his sister, Patricia Gilmore.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Gilmore; son, Sam Gilmore and wife Kathy; daughter, Audrey Gilmore; grandchildren, Heather Gilmore and Amber Gilmore; brother, Mickey Gilmore; sisters, Mary Gilmore, Julie Smith and husband Bob, and Jennie Coleman and husband Billy; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Tommy was a beloved employee of the Goodyear Tire Company for 37 years. He enjoyed music, watching NASCAR and was an avid fan of outer space and kept up with all the current space programs and news. Tommy loved his hometown of Hope Mills and loved the USA even more. He was loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who was known by many and loved by all.

Tommy will be greatly missed.
