Thomas Lee Palmisano, 75, of Hope Mills, NC, gained his wings on June 2, 2024. He passed peacefully after a short illness surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded by parents, Joseph and Nola Palmisano; and sister, Tia Davis.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Gautier Palmisano; daughter, Christina Palmisano Lockwood; grandchildren, Abigael Nola Lockwood and Mason Campbell Lockwood; brothers, Paul and Vincent Palmisano; and sister, Theresa Palmisano-Grosso.
The most important thing to Thomas was his love and dedication to family and friends. He will be remembered as always being kind and generous. He never hesitated to help family, friends, and even strangers when he was able, and more likely than not, from behind the scenes. Over the years, Thomas enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, hunting, woodworking, and even jewelry-making in his retirement. He often gifted his creations to others purely for the enjoyment of seeing their pleasure.
Thomas’ passions extended to a lifelong career of helping others in need. He was so proud of his 37 years of service with Fort Bragg Fire and Emergency Services, serving as a firefighter, fire inspector, and dispatcher; as well as his years with the Cotton Volunteer Fire Department.
Thomas will be greatly missed, but will live forever through the stories he shared, the memories he created, and the love he always gave.
