Tolar Melvin Iii

Tolar "JR" James Melvin III, 55 of Hope Mills, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021.

Tolar "JR" enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tolar James Melvin, Jr., and is survived by his wife, Tina Johnson Melvin; mother, Lola Faye Melvin; sisters, Tina McLaurin (Bryan) and Susan McLaurin (Scott); nephews, Patrick McLaurin (Laurie) and Zachary McLaurin (Eva); daughter, Crystal Justice (Kevin); grandsons, Auston, Braydin, and Kasen Justice; numerous aunts and uncles; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills, NC, with a service to immediately follow at 1 p.m. There will be a graveside following the service at Calvary Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Salemburg, NC.
