Tony Roger Cooper, 73 of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Born in April 26, 1950 in Putnam Co., TN, Roger was the son of the late Johnnie Richard Cooper and Betty Jean Smith Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Cooper and Harrison Lowery; sister, Phyllis Cooper; and grandson, Dion Graham.
Roger is survived by his wife, Heidi Cooper; daughter, Jessica Mayes; sons, Jason Cooper, Corbin Cooper, and Robert Cooper; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his beloved pet dog, Pumpkin; and a host of other family and friends.
Roger honorably served several years in the U.S. Army before cementing his career as an electrician for most of his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors whether it was fishing or playing golf. Roger was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching NASCAR (especially his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt) and the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a known grill master who loved cooking for his family and friends.
Roger will be greatly missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved him.
