Walter Blackmon House

Walter Blackmon House, 85 of Hope Mills, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in his home with family by his side.

Born December 1, 1937 in Sampson County, Walter was the son of the late James Felton House and Essie Freeman House. in addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his son, Richard House and his brothers, Leroy House and David House.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee House; son, Curtis House (Janie Goode); daughter, Janet Jackson (Nick Kipriotis); grandchildren, Charlie Jackson (Erica), Casey Jackson (Kendall Rollinson), Olga Bryson (Justin), and Nicole Haddock (Brandon Vann); eleven great grandchildren; sister, Edna Smith (Clem); brother, Leonard House (Mary); several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Walter enjoyed going to the beach and loved to eat, especially oysters. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who loved life and simply spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
