Walter Mcneill

Walter Clifton McNeill, 88, of Hope Mills, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 in his home surrounded by family.

Born December 31, 1926 in Cumberland County, he was of the son of the late Paul and Estelle Jackson McNeill and was also preceded in death by his wife Vivian Cain McNeill.

He is survived by a son, Clifton McNeill, Jr. & wife Barbara; two daughters, Kathy McNeill de Roeck & husband Dan and Donna McNeill Parnell & husband Michael; grandchildren, Cliff 111, Jan Mackinnon (Adam), Allison Wait (Jeff), Katy Bigsby (Kevin), Caroline Willis (Chad), Matt Parnell, Laura Boarts ( Matthew) and Chelsea Parnell; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Reva, Calan, Caroline, Danielle, Cameron, Aidan, Madelene Grace and Vivian; a sister, Carolyn McNeill; and a host of other family and friends.

The family expresses gratitude to his caregivers: Sheila Jackson, Connie Gregory, Sherry Johnson and Tammy Joyal.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at Green Springs Baptist Church 1095 East Green Springs Road Parkton, NC 28371.

He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
