Walter Reese

Mr. Walter Douglas Reese, Sr., 68 of Hope Mills, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born in Brunswick County, Virginia, he was the son of Clarence and Mary Jane Reese. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Robertson and Lonnie Phillips, and a sister Mary Ann Garcia.

He is survived by a son, Walter Douglas Reese, Jr., two grandchildren, Timothy and Lisa Reese; all of Grays Creek; two sisters, Peggy Atkinson of Augusta GA, and Bettie Page of Sanford, NC; three brothers, Bill Robertson of Hope Mills, Eugene Phillips of Albuquerque, New Mexico and John Phillips of Lancaster, SC.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, December 12, 2016 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Service in Hope Mills. Burial will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd. Fort Bragg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
