Wanda Tolar

Wanda Kaye Tolar, 60 of Hope Mills, NC, was born on December 13, 1962. She passed quietly and peacefully on April 3, 2023, after a long and hard battle with dementia. She left peacefully and lovingly in the hands of the Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville, NC.

Wanda is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty and Ron Williams, formerly of Hope Mills; her father, Tommy Tolar; and her brother Tim Tolar.

She leaves behind her wife, Verhonia Cox; a son Rodney Williams of Lumber Bridge, NC;  three stepsons, Michael Holmes and wife Hope of Fayetteville, Kenneth Holmes of St. Pauls, and Joseph Holmes of Fayetteville; brothers, Timmy Henderson and Allen Tolar, both of Fayetteville; six beautiful grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Wanda was loved by so many in her life, especially her wife Verhonia. She had such a special gift and love for animals. She will be missed by her family and friends very much but, they are thankful that she is in no more pain and is finally at peace!
