William Cornett

William Blackburn Cornett, Jr., 77, of Fayetteville entered into eternal rest, Saturday, February 15, 2014.

Born in Middletown Ohio, he is the son of the late William Blackburn Cornett, Sr., and Grace Marie Warden Cornett.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, February 21, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park West in Fayetteville.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby; children, Patricia Ann Fuhrman and husband Michael of Virginia, Buddy Cornett, III and wife Allie of Washington; Ella Marie Cornett of Fayetteville, and John Wolf Rousseau of France; a brother, Jack Cornett; and a sister Josephine Potts both of Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mr. Cornett retired from the 82nd Air Borne Division of the United States Army after 20 years of service. He loved serving his county, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
