William Franklin Faulkner, 78, of Hope Mills NC, born January 16th, 1940. Died on Saturday, February 24th, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Len C. and Eunice H. Faulkner; his sisters, Pearl Brock and Betty Barefoot, and his son, Carson Len Faulkner.
Mr. Faulkner is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy; his daughter, Jan, and his son and his wife, Reggie and Wendy and his grandsons, Ian and Carson.
He was a 1958 graduate of Hope Mills High School and a 1970 graduate of Methodist University. He worked for Belk Stores from 1958 to 1970; North Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation from 1970 to 1973, and a teacher at Hope Mills Middle School from 1973 to 1997. He was a volunteer at Alms House and active at Hope Mills United Methodist Church in the choir, Methodist Men, Sunday School teacher, and held various positions in the Church, from 1950 until his death.
Those who met him received his gentle kindness and those who knew him felt his love, respect and support.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., at Hope Mills United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. J. Robert Kretzu officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Hope Mills Cemetery.
